Nursery Management Today Awards 2013
The Childcare Company were once again very proud to be part of the NMT Awards this year, and sponsored the Nursery Training and Development award.
Our Senior Operations Manager, Linda Williams presented the award for Nursery Training and Development, which was won by Jennie Johnson from Kids Allowed (forgive the rather blurry photo).
Congratulations, Jennie and congratulations to everyone who was nominated for an award. It is always such a special evening and a chance to celebrate the incredible work of those in the childcare sector. Awards aren’t the reason we work so hard to improve quality and standards in all areas of childcare, but it is always important to recognise the passion and determination of those who are making a real difference.
We can’t wait for next year!
Apprenticeship Entry Requirements
You do not currently need to hold a qualification in English, Maths or ICT in order to enroll on an apprenticeship with The Childcare Company. However, it is part of our initial assessment process to ask all our learners to complete a skills check.
If the results of your skills check are too low, we may not be able to enroll you at this time.
If the results of your skills check show you are working towards the required level for your chosen apprenticeship, we will provide the Functional Skills learning as part of your apprenticeship framework.
This means when you complete your apprenticeship, you will also have completed English and Maths qualifications.
If you would like to know more, please call us on 01753 596 004.
24+ Advanced Learning Loans
Full funding for learners aged 24 and above has now come to an end. Instead, learners can apply for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.
If you would like to know more about the loan click here
Learners aged 14 – 23 will still be entitled to funding for training, but there is still eligibility criteria attached.
To talk to us about funding for your course, please call us on 01753 596 004 or email email@example.com.
Apprenticeship Funding Available
The Childcare Company has been allocated further funding for 16-18 year olds working as an apprentice. This means you can secure full funding to complete a CACHE Level 2 or 3 qualification in the Children and Young People’s Workforce, Supporting Teaching and Learning or Playwork.
You will need to be working a minimum of 30 hours per week in an appropriate setting with a contract of employment, and paid a minimum of £2.68 an hour.
If you haven’t considered taking on an apprentice in the past – now is the time to do so! Employers may be entitled to a Government grant as an incentive for employing an apprentice.
“The National Apprenticeship Service will provide Apprenticeship grants to employers with up to 1000 employees recruiting 16 to 24 year olds with a value of £1,500, to encourage employers to develop their business and take on new apprentices.
The £1,500 is in addition to the training costs of the Apprenticeship framework which are met in full for young people aged 16 to 18 and 50% for those aged 19 to 24.
Eligible employers are those who have never employed an apprentice before or who have not recruited one in the last 12 months.” Please click here for more information.
Taking on an apprentice enables you to grow your own staff who work to your own standards and expectations.
Please call us on 01753 596 004 or email us firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss apprenticeships in more detail.
