If you would like more personalised information, please click here to go to our “Funding Enquiries” page, where you can ask us about obtaining funding for your course.
There are a number of options available to our learners in order to obtain funding for their course.
- Skills Funding Agency (SFA)and European Social Fund (ESF)
The SFA and ESF provide funding for apprenticeship and workplace delivered qualifications. You could be entitled to full funding if you meet the eligibility requirements.
- Local Authority Bursary/Grant
The local authority which your setting falls under may be able to provide a bursary or grant to help pay for the cost of your course.
- A Flexible, Interest Free Payment Plan
The Childcare Company offers all of its learners the chance to pay for the course themselves via a flexible payment plan which is interest free, meaning you won’t pay any extra just because you cannot pay the full fees upfront. Using our payment plans you can agree your monthly payment amount in advance, however the total course fee must be paid before you complete your training. The payment plan is designed to make the cost of your course manageable and stress free.
- 24+ Advanced Learning Loan
If you are aged 24 or older, you can apply for a Government loan to cover the cost of your qualification. This loan is currently only available for recognised Level 3 and 4 courses, such as the Early Years Educator, Children and Young People’s Workforce (social care pathways), Playwork and Supporting Teaching and Learning Diploma courses.
The Advanced Learning Loan is a Government loan which works in the same way as a student loan. The cost of your training will be paid directly to your training provider and you will not pay anything back until you have finished your course and are earning a minimum of £21,000 per year. If you start your course in 2013, you repayments will not begin until 2016.
The loan applications are not means tested and it doesn’t matter if you have already had a loan to complete a university degree.

Please note: The Childcare Company is not responsible for the application of 24+ Advanced Learning Loans. If you would like to seek independent money advice, please contact the Money Advice Service here.
