KiddyKare Staff Solutions is owned and run by Jen and Sue Hill. Set up in April 2008 the company based in Maidenhead, Berkshire has gone from strength to strength.
Jen is an NNEB qualified Nursery Nurse who has worked in various local Day Nurseries, most recently as Manager of Mulberry Day Nursery in Maidenhead, however she found her niche in the childcare sector when she moved into recruitment with a National Childcare Agency.

This management software company, headed by Chris Reid, have produced some great products that assist nurseries with their day to day operations. They have also produced an excellent product called ToddlerTag which is well worth consideration. Other products for both safety and management are being added to and their 'smart nurseries' concept, ensuring that nurseries have all the necessary resources to run safely and effectively, is excellent. The Management Software is really good value for money.

Whilst undergoing treatment for Leukaemia, Ashley Brooks nearly died after contracting a severe blood disease from someone with dirty hands. Out of this negative experience, his business was born. Managing partner Michael Lockyer is an amazing guy - what he doesn't know about the finance business isn't worth knowing! You will get good, honest and sound advice from this company - and you can't always say that about financial advisory services!

If you are looking for a company to deliver in-house training to your staff you could do no better than to use The Childcare Consultancy. Laura Henry is the Managing Director and the person who writes the training programmes for her staff to deliver. She has an excellent knowledge of the industry, EYFS, and other childcare related issues and the recommendations on her website speak for themselves. Laura doesn't just deliver training, she really cares about raising standards and helping nurseries to acheive their goals. Highly recommended.
Gompels
Gompels is more than a domestic stock supplier. From experience we have found them to be a great source of information on healthcare and hygiene - their website has some great COSHH sheets and basic cleaning posters to laminate and put up in settings. Their prices are very competitive and they are very reliable and prompt.
Nursery World
This weekly magazine is a fantastic resource for up-to-date industry news and ideas. The new style Nursery World makes it easy to keep the EYFS terminology in mind and always contains articles that could be used for training. The magazine is not just for nurseries but for childminders and nannies too. The supplements are an excellent resource and come free with the magazine three times a year. If you want to place an advert, the advertising department (contact either Rylan or Elliott).
You can request a free sample of the magazine from their website or subscribe for £65 per year, saving £10 on the cover price. Don't forget to login to their forum. There is always some useful information posted there and topical issues are discussed regularly.
Nursery Management Today
For Nursery Managers and owners this has proved to be a very informative and well produced magazine. The articles are always topical and thought provoking and very well organised by Alison Gordon, the editor.
Heinemann
Heinemann are the industry specialists for childcare training resources and text books. They are constantly updating and adding to their catalogue and the books are well presented with colourful illustrations and photographs.
