Training

The Childcare Company has developed an excellent online training programme linked to an e-portfolio system that is unique and easy to navigate and use. Learners who have tested the system have enthused about its benefits over traditional learning methods.

The whole system is known as the learners’ LASER and is written and regularly updated by childcare professionals and teachers. The Childcare Company have recently been awarded an Exemplary Practice rating by their awarding body CACHE.

Our courses particularly suit those with learning difficulties who require a more personalised approach to learning.

Exceptional learners will be considered to receive our Dedication to Learning award, recognising their commitment to personal development and training.

The learners study for an NVQ at level 2, 3 or 4 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. The learning incorporates The Early Years Foundation Stage principles which are to be implemented by all nurseries from September 2008. The learners are funded by Train to Gain (Government funds from the Learning & Skills Council) or local authority funding. A learner, on average, takes one year to do their course.
